About Us

Dear Reader,

I still remember when my mother used to make Panjiri for us. It was more than just a snack; it was a tradition we cherished. We were all so fond of it—our favorite tea-time snack with a taste that was simply unmatched. When I became a mother, my own mother made it for me, and even relatives would bring it over, knowing how much strength I needed during that time. The taste, care, and warmth in that Panjiri were unforgettable, and it inspired me to carry on the tradition.

As my children grew up, I learned to make not just Panjiri but also Alsi Pinniyan and Chawal Pinniyan, sharing these beloved treats with them which became a part of our family’s journey. When my daughter became a mother, I passed on the tradition, making Panjiri for her. It was then that my children encouraged me to share it with others, recognizing that everyone who tasted it truly appreciated its flavor and nourishment.

Traditional food holds a special place in our hearts, resonating with our palates and reminding us of home. Even my sons enjoy Panjiri with tea, and I love preparing these time-honored recipes for them—and now, for you. I want to share these treasured traditions with other families, carrying forward the legacy of our culture. I hope you take as much joy in savoring these treats as I do in creating them, keeping the warmth and love of heritage alive.

With love,

Amma
