About Us

I still remember when my mother used to make Panjiri for us. All of us were so fond of it. It was our tea-time snack and the taste was unmatchable. When I became a mother, my mother made that for me, I even got that from my relatives. They said that I need all the strength at this time and Panjiri was it. I still remember the taste of that Panjiri, the care and the love it had is unmatchable. I was so moved that I learned it and made it for my children while they were growing up and not just Panjiri but alsi pinniyan, chawal pinniyan. My children love them and I still love making these traditional desserts for them.

When my daughter became a mother and I made Panjiri for her, it really helped her. She was taking a lot of allopathic vitamins but she didn’t like eating a lot of medicines, so Panjiri came to the rescue. It was then that my children encouraged me to make it for everyone because everyone who ate it truly praised the taste. I have made it for many relatives as well and when everyone said and helped me, I was on board. One of the things best about traditional food is that the taste resonates with our palates in the best possible way, even my sons love to eat Panjiri with tea and I love cooking for them and now for everyone who wants to enjoy traditional food.Â
